Wanna know a secret?

I’m an excellent cook. When I really want to impress someone I’ll make something simple in an extraordinary way. When I’m not “in character” I’m terribly socially awkward. Behind closed doors I’m confusingly domestic.

Seriously.

Folding laundry, dusting picture frames, and making a big dinner is relaxing. It’s meditative. It grounds me.

But let’s back up a little. No one wants to know how I fold socks.

I also love heavy metal, guns, and blowing fire. I’m a student pilot. I just got a motorcycle learner’s permit and boat operator’s license. I’m a photographer, model, interviewer, podcast panelist and associate producer for the TV adaptation of The Comediorological Report. I’m a certified security officer, OFA, CPT, special effects make-up artist, ordained minister, and I own a nutritional supplement company. I love hiking, kayaking, and exploring the outdoors. If I can roll onto a beach with a crew of pirates, explore a wreckage, create / build / blow something up, I’m in my element. Basically, I get bored easily but am too socially awkward to just hang out with friends. Besides, I’d rather hang out with Morbo or hide out at the Art Farm than just sit down and watch a movie.

The first time I was published as a writer was in the 2nd grade. The attention was… uncomfortable. That writing later evolved into interviewing some pretty interesting people. A few of those surviving conversations can be found here. That tied in to photography, which was really only a precursor to modeling. The interest in modeling was more about image composition than it was about fashion. That being said, I took it seriously and am under contract with World Management. While initially immersed in a world of divas and stage moms I was skateboarding, climbing things, and lifting weights. Much to the ire of a few on-set make-up artists, there have been a few occasions where I’d show up to a photoshoot or fashion show with fresh bruises from scampering through decaying ruins or being in a mosh pit the night before. As much fun as it was to be in front of a camera, it was more fun to be in the gym. The adrenaline and focus of boxing and weight lifting was so much fun it stole the spotlight. Ultimately, that lead to becoming a personal trainer, entering fitness competitions, and, motivated by close friends, developing Venerate Supplements, a line of nutritional supplements designed for those who are newly embarking on a journey of self-improvement as well as those who are farther down that path and need specialized support in achieving their goals. ♥
